Notes, oddities, and small reports from the quieter end of the web.

== Beep

This is a small personal site for things that do not need a platform, a feed,
or a performance review. It is mostly a place for short observations, minor
projects, and the occasional dispatch from wherever my attention wandered and
found something faintly ridiculous.

[.hero]
--
At the moment, that includes:

* a link:field-guide[field guide] to pigeons with more confidence than restraint
* a link:angband[short Angband report] from a kobold rogue having a poor evening
* the source itself on https://git.beep.wimdupont.com[Repositories]

== On Pigeons

The link:field-guide[field guide] is exactly what it sounds like: a brief
taxonomy of urban bird swagger. It treats the subject with more seriousness
than the subject deserves, which is to say the correct amount.

== On Dungeons

The link:angband[Angband Dispatch] follows Morwe, a kobold rogue currently on
the first dungeon level, confused, lightly injured, and in sight of more dogs
than any sensible creature should tolerate at once. He is learning, very
quickly, that early dungeon confidence is often just optimism wearing a helmet.

== Source Code

The site is built in plain AsciiDoc and lives in the `beepweb` repository on
https://git.beep.wimdupont.com[Repositories], along with a few other small
projects under this subdomain. The machinery is simple, which leaves more room
for the important work of writing about pigeons as if they hold office.
